I have a wireless and a cable connection. I can get a Internet Gateway if I use cable but not if I use wireless hence I have no Internet when using wireless but Outlook, IE and all the rest work OK if I use a cable. I can browse the PCs, Folders and Files of the other PCs on the workgroup using wireless.

What should I try?

Try setting up a wireless connection. Your system should have an option for this - the gateway will remain the same.

Many thanks but no it doesn't. By network cable I can create one using "Create a new Connection" but even though I'm connected by wireless and can browse other PCs on the network it will not setup an Internet Gateway. So effectively I have a fully working network with wireless except an Internet Connection.

Is your wireless router secured? If so you will need to put in the WEP key to access the router. What kind of router do you have? It may even need to have the wireless enabled. Have you had this wireless connected before?

Many thanks - I thought of all those. Until recently it worked fine but the owner says he made no changes. I'm going to have to log on with my laptop and compare settings.
