Hi,

For a while now I haven't been able to access the Salon Site Pass, it's just not there


^ the site pass sponsor link on the top right corner is missing


^ the sponsor logo never shows up

I've consulted the Salon's FAQ, but nothing has worked.

What's wrong and how can I fix it?

Are you using the NoScript extension in Firefox?

No, at least I don't think so...

I saw this before & figured out that it's being blocked by the HOSTS file, so there must be some known issues with that site. I temporarily disabled my HOSTS file & was able to access the Site Pass, but had some advertising pop-ups.

These are the 2 entries that are blocking the site:

judo.salon.com

oas.salon.com

If you look close enough at the toolbar at the bottom left hand side of your browser while you are getting around Salon, you can see those entries.

As stated earlier, there must be a good reason the site is being blocked. Maybe (or not) someone will come along & tell us about the status of future updates involving HOSTS files & Salon. As of right now, I suppose, the blocks are staying.
