i caught a spyware/malware of the internet last week. first sign was spysheriff installed it self. after i got rid of that i got pop up window about system integrity scan. now all pop ups seem to be gone but as soon as i start windows following message pops up:

Services and Controller app encountered a problem and needed to close.

error details:

szAppName: services.exe szAppVer: 5.1.2600.2180



if i click on the message (does not matter with button) new message comes out:

system shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM....

and pc shuts down after count down ends.


if i don't press anything and just leave the message be computer is fine.



now another problem from what i understand at least one of the pop ups i had was Java based so i uninstalled older java versions but when i try to install new version computer blue screens and restarts. same thing happens if i try to install windows update. so i am not sure what to do.

i have done lots of reading before i finally decided to post this. and i used following tools to remove infections:

ad-aware se
spybot s&d
AVG anitvirus
panda online antivirus
HJT
CC cleaner
smithfraud fix

most of the software i ran in a safe mode to take care of the problems that loads it self, but above problem still persists. i am about to run McAfee avert stinger as well.

i was running stinger right now and at some point computer just blue screened and restarted, just like it does then i try to install Java or windows update

hi there thank you for a reply. actualy some how problem seem to disapeared. my last post as i said i was scaning my cpu with stinger and it restarted. after restart i went in safe mode and scaned again. stiger have not found anything. however upon reboot to normal windows enviroment problem disapeared. i will update if it will stay this way

Its good to know that your problem is solved, still let me inform you that there is a nasty present in your PC which requires specialized tool and so it would be better if you go through the following set of instructions.

Downloads

1. Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix). Do not run it yet.

3. Download combofix from one of these locations:

• http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/...aB/combofix.exe

**Save it to your desktop**

Go to <<Start>> then <<Run>> then paste in the single line command then click OK

"%userprofile%\desktop\combofix.exe" /v rpcc



When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Disable Security Softwares

Double-click the icon on Desktop to launch AVG Anti-Spyware. Please disable your AVG Anti-Spyware Guard, as it may hinder the removal of some entries.

• On the top of the main screen click Shield
• Click the word active to change it to inactive

Show Hidden Files and Folders

Go to My Computer >Tools >Folder Options >View tab and select Show hidden files and folders. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option. Also make sure there is no checkmark beside Hide file extensions for known file types. Click OK.

Fix

Restart your computer and boot into Safe Mode by tapping the F8 key repeatedly until a menu shows up (and choose Safe Mode from the list). In some systems, this may be the F5 key, so try that if F8 doesn't work. Login on your usual account. Make sure to close any open browsers.

Open HijackThis and click on 'Do a System Scan Only'. Check the following entries (If they still exist, make sure you do not miss any)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {6A09BF91-CC57-71A1-4CA2-009B85709DDB} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\chpdtcc.dll (file missing)

Please remember to close all other windows, including browsers then click Fix checked.

SDFix.exe

• Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
• Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
• It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
• Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
• When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
• Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
  (Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
• Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum.

Reboot your system in Normal Mode.

As it seems that you have run a number of tools I suppose that you have already used AVG AntiSpyware to treat your problem. If so, please provide the AVG AS log, it should be available at C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5\Reports. I would also like to see rapport.txt [log from SmitfraudFix] and Panda Online Scan Report.

Also let me know about your system's overall behaviour .
