I have 2 viruses/trojans sitting in CAB files--AVG and Ad-aware recognizes them but doesn't clean them. They are Trojans-PSW.Bisby.a. (and .b in the other file)
One is in :C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\BIK.cab.dll.
These two have been sitting there for a while causing no problem because they are in CABs. I am "loathe' to the idea of extracting them and deleting them, but I may yet. I wish there was a way to delete the CAB files without "extracting" Anyone with an idea?? Thanks thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

I would say make a new CAB files containing the contents of the existing files but minus the offending content then substitute the new CAB for the old CAB, same name of course. There is a programme called CabView which makes this easy.
This is a "lo-fi" version of our main content. To view the full version with more information, formatting and images, please click here.
