in lan settings in windows you put in a code or something for a proxy and i can't find one that works anybody know any good ones that will work

Why would you be putting a proxy in there?

The only time you would need to put a proxy in there is if you are running a proxy server. If you are connecting through your own broadband or dial-up connection then a proxy won't work for you. A proxy essentially is a sort of firewall that allows a private network to connect to the internet without exposing your machine's IP address.
