I've got lots of JPEGS that I had no trouble editing in Photoshop until I downloaded Picasa a few weeks ago. Now certain pictures can't be accessed or edited by any means (Photoshop, any Web browser) because they are locked.
Directions say to go to the Properties menu in Windows Explorer and right clicking on the picture file. I've done that. But the Properties dialogue box that then opens up does not seem to address the "lock" or "unlock" option. I can't check "read only," for example, or make or save any changes in the window.
I've looked up this problem on several Google searches; the advice to go to the Properties menu in Windows Explorer shows up all over, but nobody says what to do when you get there.
I'd appreciate any advice.
Many thanks.
