I have a Netgear super G router that is hooked up to my Dell desktop with ethernet. The modem is hooked up to the router. The internet works fine on it, but I'm trying to share my internet connection with my laptop and other desktop wirelessly, and I can't get it to work. The client computers all have the matching Netgear super G wireless cards. I can get the client computers to connect to the router, but I can't get it to go on the internet. Does anyone know what I need to do?

Unplug the modem and router. Turn off all computers and network devices. Wait at least one minute and plug the modem in. Wait another minute and plug in the router. When the router finishes booting turn all of your computers back on.

I just tried that. Now my laptop knows that their is an internet connection, but what setting do I use to make my laptop access the internet through the router?

Presuming that there are no special settings required by your ISP (cable doesn't usually require anything, DSL may require stuff) if you can't connect then you're not setup properly.

You must run the Network Connection setup wizard and the Network Setup wizard at a minimum to connect. The router will require both in order to function properly. (BTW - if there is already some of these on your system - disable them and create new ones to see if that works)
