I have an Airlink AR525 MIMO router which is set up for WPA security. I have trouble hooking up wirelessly with
the two computers that I use wirelessly. I have no trouble on the initial hook-up from a power up state but if I lose connection for any reason, many times the computer cannot regain the connection and continously shows a
acquiring network status. For example, I may be working with my laptop and then decide to do something else
so I put the laptop into hibernate mode until I come back. Sometimes the connection re-acquires and sometimes it doesn't. If I power down the router for about 30 seconds and then re-apply power, the computers re-gain their connection right away. Is there some setting in the router that I need to change? I never had this problem with my previous router but it was not capable of WPA security. Thanks for any help you guys might be able to provide.

I would check to see that the nic card in the computer (the fast ethernet device) wasn't set to be powered off.

Look in properties in power management of your lan card.

Thank you for your reply but the problem appears to be router related as the computer immediately re-acquires when the router is powered down and back up.
