Hi All

IE 7 arrived via automatic updates on Friday morning. I clicked OK to install it over my IE7 Beta and it started to remove the previous version. When I got home 9 hours later it was still on the same thing so I cancelled the update and broke IE. Did a system restore this morning and had another attempt with the same result and another system restore.

I intend to phone Microsoft Support on Monday morning, but has anyone else had installation problems or any ideas on why this is happening?

Well, its taken a day and a half but I finally got there.
Redownloaded IE7 with FireFox and saved to disk. An attempt to install incurred the same problem so rebooted into safe mode and everything went fine that way.

Thanks for letting our members know what worked for you. I am sure others may have problems installing IE7, and your reply may help them if they have a similar problem.
