Microsoft's antispyware product, Windows Defender was released yesterday. It runs on Windows XP/2003/Vista and comes with 2 free support incidents.

Same info blogged here:

Wow. Way cool. I was wondering if there were a free anit-spyware program that had real-time protection, but couldn't find any. And now, voila, there is one. smile.gif

Thanks for the post and the blog information. thumbup2.gif

I didnt like the original antispyware thing MS had out.

Should I get this or anyone else if we have adaware se and spybot?

You should definitely have an ant-spyware program that provides real-time protection. Most of the ones I've seen you have to pay for. You don't have to pay for Windows Defender.

For on-demand scanners in addition to Ad-Aware SE and Spybot, I use SuperAntiSpyware Free, AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 (used to be Edwido), and A2 Free.

I also have SpywareBlaster which prevents a lot of junk from getting on the computer.
