Hello, i'm not sure if this is a good place for my question. So please advise. I have read the tutorial about ports but am a bit confused.
While connected I opened my command prompt and typed "nestat -a". i'm alittle concerned about what I see so I need some info please. this is what I see that concerns me:
Active Connections
Proto Local Address Foriegn Address State
TCP mycompname:10025 mycompname:0 Listening
TCP mycompname:10110 mycompname:0 Listening
UDP mycompname:bootpc *:*
I don't know what ports 10025 and 10110 are for....please advise
And I don't get the one that says "bootpc"
Does anyone have any clues? Is this even worth worrying about?
My connection is very slow at times but only at a particular website that I visit. But it hasn't always been that way. The webpage takes forever to load at times and it just started happening to me, a week ago I had no problems at the site. And the Admin of the site says that noone else seems to be having the problem and the site is fine.
Thats why I did the netstat thing. Any help would be great! Thanks!
