How can I download the videos from youtube ?
The only way I know is to do screen recording which seems kind of lame.

find the streem you want
(for example)
http://youtube.com/
copy the url

paste the url in slot at
http://keepvid.com/
download to comp

download and install
vlc player(free universal player)
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
play the video

A free, stand alone player (don't need to install) is:
