I just tried this little tool - it takes up 1500 k running in my system tray.

What it does is it remaps your keyboard lights to be inbound and outbound traffic lights - much easier to notice than the little icon in the system tray.

I don't use it on my laptop. But, I use the Microsoft Natural Keyboard on my desktop system - and the lights are right between your fingers.

Also, with my eye problems sometimes I can't see the little light in the system tray.
