I need to setup my computer so I can use a broadband connection. I do not have any connections showing in my network places at this time.

When I try to open a new broadband network it says:

Your broadband connection should already be configured and ready to use.

It is on a Dell Dimension 8250 and its a reformat on windows xp. Everything is fresh and new. Just need to get it on the internet now....

Thanks!

a few too many possibilities, we need to pinpoint
- who is your server of broadband then
- what is the way you are connected,
etc.,

How do you connect to the broadband connection - wired or wireless, and on a network or directly to the modem?

Have you reinstalled the drivers from the Dell drivers CD?
