Is your disk a full, or is it an upgrade, wait... do you have a floppy disk in the computer?
madnlooney
its a full CD and no floppy in, i think i found what the problem is, its the computer hasnt seen the CD rom so wont boot that way, ive got a win98se boot disk now so will have to try using that

You're onto it now, must be installed from DOS using boot floppy to gain the
'A" prompt for DOS. Then type E:SETUP with of course the CD already in.

First with the boot floppy in you might type FormatA/s at the "A" prompt to
transfer all the files to make the installation. On a formatted drive you have nothing,no CD drive,no BIOS zilch.Transfering the files creates a virtual CD drive,MBR & BIOS-all the DOS files. If you have access to another print a guide from http://tinyurl.com/jdyao.
