msconfig is more for diagnostics. To manage your startups, there are a number of ways to do this via WinPatrol, SpybotSD, or
Startup Inspector. Try one of them and let us know how you get on.
A word of warning, be very sure of what you are disabling as you could cause yourself a lot of trouble by stopping essential items. Check out each item in the startup tab at the top of any page.
