Hi Layback Bear

msconfig is more for diagnostics. To manage your startups, there are a number of ways to do this via WinPatrol, SpybotSD, or Startup Inspector. Try one of them and let us know how you get on.

A word of warning, be very sure of what you are disabling as you could cause yourself a lot of trouble by stopping essential items. Check out each item in the startup tab at the top of any page.

Cheers

What's the program that keeps starting?
Have you gone into the programs options, to see if you can disable it from running at startup?

Thank you all for your replies. I just downloaded Startup Inspector. I will try to stop the things that are not required and then users choice and will get back
Thanks again

Laybackbear: Use Startup Inspector, it will work magic for you as it did for me in resolving an annoying-long standing issue with some unwelcoming startup entries that just would not leave. It worked just like that in a blink of eyes-they were gone and never appeared again. Let me know how you like it. take care. YOYO(MGBY). smile.gif
