I'm at friend’s place and want to configure my ibook G4 to access her high speed DSL internet using DHCP (she does not have a router so WiFi is not an option). I will connect to the modem using an ethernet cable. I understand in the TCP/IP tab, I click "DHCP". What else needs to be done to access the internet from this point?

Normally you'll have to access her ISP for directions on setting up the particulars for that connection.
