I am trying to uninstall windows 2000 professional. I cannot find where it is stored on my computer. It is not in the add/remove programs where I thought I would find it. Please help.

hi, peligrina,

you cant uninstall windows in add/remove programs. probably the easiest way to get rid of win2000 is to reformat the drive, but bear in mind this will destroy all data on the drive.

good luck

Thanks for the response. It is not in the Add/Remove Programs. I cannot locate where it is hiding. When you say reformat the drive, do you mean reinstall?

Pretty much that is what he is saying. You will need to format, in a manor of speeching delete, your hard drive. Thi will remove EVERYTHING from your hard drive. If you have anything you wish to keep now is the time to save it to another disk, CD, DVD, or a flash drive.
Remember once you format that drive you will not be able to get it back. Make sure you have..
1) The Windows CD to reinstall the OS.
2) The 25 digit Product Key needed to install Windows.
3) The latest driver to your computer's hardware.
Remember once started you cannot go back.
