I have a wireless router provided by my ISP. Connected a LAN outlet is a cat5 cable to the input (internet) connection of another wireless router (Belkin pre-n) for increased coverage. Attached to the Belkin router is a print server.

How should I setup the Belkin router if I want to use the print server while wireless connected to my ISP router?

ISP IP 192.168.1.1
Belkin 192.168.2.1 (Connected to ISP LAN - set as router also)
Print server 192.168.2.100 (connected to Belkin LAN)

Can I use the Belkin pre-n as a hub, or do I have to purchase a separate hub?

hello jmcondon, I'm not sure i understand your wording of your situation....but....if you could/should make your belkin your primary router and forget about the one you ISP gave you, just run the internet connection straight from your modem to the belkin router. Meaning that all your internet and LAN access goes through this and your ISP modem/router is just acting as a modem. Then you would have to configure all of your devices to use 192.168.2.1 as a gateway, This will put your print server on the same network (LAN) without having to fiddle around with port forwarding and dealing with routing issues.
That done you could now drop your ISP supplied modem's wireless signal for security reasons, no need to tell everyone that there are two wireless signals to peek at right? Then configure you pc's/laptops to recognise the print server as "friendly" or a shared network device and hopefully you should be good to go. I hope this answered your questions.

My wireless connection drops out at different areas in my house, but between both routers, I can get pretty good coverage.

I was wondering if there was a way to set one router as a primary router to issue IP addresses (or use static addresses), use the second router as a hub (utilizing both wirelss and LAN ports), but only have one network.

Yes, you want to set the second router for use as an access point. Search the Belkin site for instructions.

Generally, you'll disable DHCP on the access point and assign it a fixed IP address (such as 192.168.1.98). You may have to use static IP's for the computers that hook up through that connection while being able to use DHCP with the other. I did this with my Netgear routers and it worked just fine.
