Hi,
My Dell Dimension 2300 will not switch on. I recently upgraded RAM from 256 to 512 and installed a Radeon 9250 graphics card. Things were going well for a couple of months but now my computer will not switch on at all! Have tried all basic solutions (i.e. different cables, checked connections inside the computer) but to no avail. Having gone through the graphics card documentation it says that the card requires a 350W power supply in order to run, although my 2300 has only a 200W PSU (doh!). Even when I take out the graphics card and try and switch my computer on nothing happens, although I hear a faint buzzing sound like power is going into the PSU.
Is it possible that I have destroyed my PSU? If so is it possible to upgrade the PSU for my computer so as to keep the graphics card and does anyone have a rough figure for how much I should expect this to cost?
Thanks
