I have a laptop from work that I would like to load Spy-bot & Ad-aware onto. However, my IT dept doesn't want to support it. Can someone direct me to where I can go to find a "back door" to load these programs without admin privileges?
Scarlett
Wouldn't that be kinda like hacking into your Company's System? Besides you have already been told that the IT Dept. does not wish to support it. Would u like it if someone came in to your personal Computer through the back door and downloaded stuff? Oh I just answered my own question. Think about it.

Scarlett,

Don't get me wrong, I do not want to "hack" into anything. I simply want to add additional protection to my laptop. Can either of those programs be run without downloading them

thanks,
burrod

Im sorry, but they have to be installed on the computer for them to run properly.

I would ask your IT group to look into supporting it. Maybe if you gave them a CD with it already on it, then they may re-consider. Give them time though. They will likely run it through a few of their test machines before they get back with you.
Scarlett
I so apoligize. U should take JE's advice though. smile.gif
