Matt B
Hi everyone, my name is Matt I'm new to BleepingComputer. I found your site from a random search on how to get rid of trojans. I used almost every method possible. Here's a list of programs, .exe's , and batches I used in the correct way so far:

1. SmitFraudFix
2. SmitRem
3. Look2Me-Destroyer
4. VirtumundoBeGone
5. Windows Defender
6. Ad-Aware 1.06 (updated)
7. Spybot S&D (updated)
8. Windows Firewall (doesnt do much)
9. Spyware Doctor (scanned...only to find out I have to buy it....I might buy it)
10. Windows Malicious Sofware Removal Program
11. Norton Antivirus / SystemWorks

12. Spyware Blaster (added)
13. Macfee Stinger (added)

I also configured the cookies and security settings in the Internet Options. Do I block both first party and third party? It sucks how Internet Explorer is so effing insecure.

The main problems went away, but when Spyware Doctor scanned my computer, I saw that they were still embedded in my computer. And I am leaning towards buying it 'cause i want to get on with my life. Then Norton Antivirus keeps on telling me that it finds another trojan. There has to be a Dropper Trojan or something that keeps on letting in this crap. I constantly have Task Manager off to the side just in case.

I keep on seeing these random "idd**.tmp.exe" (** being random combination of letters and numbers) popping up in the taskmgr as well.

I run these programs every day now, and I'm getting sick of it because I cant do what I want. I'm running out of options and I really need your help.

Thanks,
Matt

I suggest you post a HijackThis log for examination.
A member of the HijackThis Team will walk you through, step by step, how to disinfect your computer.

Once you post your log, don't make any changes to your system, as that could change the results of the posted log, making it more difficult to properly clean your system.

Read Preparation Guide for use before posting a HijackThis Log.
Please read, and follow, all directions carefully!!!

Then, run a log, and post it in the HijackThis forum, at this link. Do not, fix anything, yet.
A member, of the HJT Team, will help you out.
It may take a while to get a response, because the HJT Team are very busy. Please, be patient, as these people are volunteers. They will help you out, as soon as possible.

NOTE:
Once you have made the post, please, DO NOT make another post in the HJT forum, until it has been responded to by a member of the HJT Team. The first thing they look for, when looking for logs to reply to, is 0 replies. If you make another post, there will be 1 reply. The team member, glancing over the replies, might assume someone is already helping you out, and will not respond. So, just make your post, and let it sit there, until a team member responds. This way you will be taken care of, in the most timely manner.
