I rebuild old PCs and lend them to selected students at the local Braille Institute while they are learning the fundaments of computing. I have a student who is just learning to touch type and need to set an MS 2000 system to start up and automatically open an application (Talkong Typer) and give the focus to it. I cannot use an Autoexec.Bat since it cannot deal with Windows applications. I hear that there is a Start.Bat file that might do the trick but cannot fim=nd enough information.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

First I commend the program that you are involved in.

Second, why not put the application in the users startup programs in the start menu? When they log on the program will automatically start.
