"Nog' is a corruption of the word 'Grog'. Simple wasn't it. Grog is homemade Rum, during the Colonial Era they made and drank Grog. Concoctions mixed with eggs were called "Egg-Grog." I suppose after 20 or 30 beverages some folk must have spoke or slurred the word Eggnog. I'll poslt a couple recipes in the Recipe post later. Man, I'm feeling a tad parched now!
