I'm not sure if this has been discussed or not, but there seems to be a new security package offered by Yahoo! to its customers.

I use SBC Yahoo! DSL, but my Security package is from Computer Associates. (I replaced the entire package with AVG, Spybot, Ad-Aware)

Well anyways, what do you guys think? We know how hard and trying it is to completely remove Norton Anti-Virus products on our computers and Yahoo! has not always been clean on its products, either. (Anti-Spy had a trojan self-installed, I believe)

Personally, I wouldn't recommend this Security Package unless you're just too busy or lazy to install better individual products one-by-one.

Well, it's just Norton products, offered by Yahoo ;)

I always prefer to obtain my security applications independently of an ISP. First, generally such packages provide uneven levels of security (a great AV, but a poor firewall, for example), and second, you are not "tied" to the ISP so you can migrate to another without re-inventing your security wheel.

John
