hi i have this process running called ssu.exe and i just noticed it in the last 5 days. It is located in my spy sweeper folder which makes me think its there to help me. But my pc has been freezing and being really slow lately and this thing apparently has just been created which makes me suspicious. i googled it and found many results but i still cant determine if its bad yet. so can some one please tell if its bad.
thanks

http://virusscan.jotti.org/ http://www.virustotal.com/en/indexf.htmlScan the file at either of these sites to see if it's clean, note if no infected file is found it doesn't mean its 100% safe.
I don't have spysweeper but the file is probably part of the program.

I'm not finding any specific info on ssu.exe. I read on another site that it was added with the latest version and runs along with spysweeperUI.exe and spysweeper.exe. You can go to the Spysweeper folder, find ssu.exe, right click on it, choose properties > version and get more info.

Beware. This program may be part of the NSIS bug that's been going around. Check out the discussion in
this forum.
