Naaah...there are enough of the locals to feed my cat.

Don't we have enough problems with people bringing exotic plants and animals to places that have never seen them, and never should have, and create severe problems for the local eco systems without incouraging this action.

One example is a situation in Florida where people have purchased and raised pythons only to have the snakes get too big for comfort, so they release them into the everglades. One of the more notable results was the battle of a 13 foot Burmese Python tacking on a 6 foot gator, to see the results go here.

Other examples include the varacious walking Asian fish that are at the top of the food chain in the small Maryland pond where they were discovered, and it's a little mind blowing to see a bright green parrot in the snowy environs of a Chicago winter, or the northern pike that have caused the California fish and game to poison, shock, and net the fish is Lake Davis in order to keep them from spreading down stream and taking over the local fisheries, which consist of rianbow trout, german brown trout, cut throat trout, etc... of which none are indigenous to the area originally. wacko.gif

Haven't we screwed with mother nature enough?!?!

I do not think that we have much to worry about from cute little
Besides Daniel3679's member info under his av, shows that he lives in the U.K.
What he is doing is no different than anyone anywhere breeding and raising birds.
Which I'm sure is quite a common hobby, and no threat to Mother Nature. wacko.gif

Oh and BTW Daniel3679 I'd like to welcome you to Bleeping Computer! smile.gif
