Question, I got a deal on a dell latitude and guess what, it crapped out. it needs a new hard drive. Anyway I know someone who can get me a brand new one but for a Dell Insperon 6000. Will this work or do i even bother?

As long as the phsical size is the same it will work. Generally the Dells use a 2.5" drive 9.5mm talk. You will need to format it. If you are installing XP it will prompt you to create a partition and format before installing. Use the NTFS instead of the FAT32 format. You are good to go.
