Finally decided, after having this system for years, that I would get the BIOS to operate at the specifications that it is supposed to run at. I have a P4 Celeron 1.7Ghz, that has been running comparably to a P2 350 I used to own. It's rather more than a bit infuriating.
Anyway, I see the CPU Frequency in the BIOS at 200Mhz, after running at 100Mhz for the longest time. And then told the AGP to run at 256MB of memory, as the card specifies. The card is a 256MB DDRAM Radeon 9600. Now, when I cue up the computer, I get no beeps, no signal on the monitor, nothing. The Processor busy light just stays lit, and nothing else happens. Not a darn thing.
Needless to say, I'm lost, and I appreciate any help you guys can give me. I'm just more than a little bit lost by all this. Thanks in advance. And thanks for having me on the board, I promise I'll be far more help than I will be a pain. (I used to run my own company for repair, but this one has me befuddled.)
