hmm since i got AOL, i read this:

I think what the article is referring to is not tha AOL will cease being an ISP, but that it will open up a lot of its proprietary services to all internet users to increase advertising revenue. The still make a pile of money offering internet connexions at twice the price of competitors, and those monthly fees certainly add to the cash flow.

I know how you feel, CGM, now that I am out in the great middle American farmland, I cannot get DSL or Cable. Maybe the great electric company will soon provide internet connexions through the power lines!
