AOL has two anti-spyware programs: AOL Spyware Protection and SpyZapper.
If you go to Keyword and enter: Spyware
Follow the 'more information' link on the right under AOL Spy Zapper to learn more about it.
AOL automatically installs their Spyware Protection as part of their bundled package. As long as your using a reputable anti-spyware program, you can safely uninstall it via Add/Remove.
For SpyZapper go to AOL Keyword and enter: spyzapper
Select "go" and the "AOL Security Settings Box" will open.
Then choose "Do Not Block Any Programs [do not check my computer]" option and "UNcheck" the notification option. This should ensure that you never see it again.
AOL Safety and Security Center provides AOL users with anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam and firewall protection all in one software suite. IMO, since most users already have similar programs installed, there is really no need for AOL's security software.
