Hi
I recently installed a new hard disk in my computer. However it doesn't seem to work at all. Can someone tell me what the problem is?
Thanks

Did you format it either with the HD manufacturer's software or Windows own utility?
Can you see it in "MY Computer"?

Another small point, did you set the jumpers correctly?

Does the motherboard support the hdd installed? If you have a old PC it may not see large hdd's.

I think you are going to keep getting a lot of questions basically because you left no information for anybody to go by. Could you leave some system stat's and the make and model of the hard drive and capacity?

This guy has a lot of questions to answer!! This is quite funny..
Here - try this:
You may need to format the drive using the Disk Management utility.
Try this:
In the Windows Explorer, go to (and click the + next to) Control Panel, then press on Administrative Tools.
Double click Computer Management and wait for the new window to open.
In the new window, on the left hand side go down to Storage and then click on Disk Management.
In the right hand window, you should see you new drive. Right-Click on the external hard drive and select New Partition.
Follow the New Partition Wizard, ensuring that you accept the defaults. The only options you will really want to change are the Drive Letter and the Drive Name.
Once you finish the Wizard, it will format the drive. You can then close the Computer Management window, and go back to your Windows Explorer. Your new drive should be in there now!!
Hope that helped!!!
