I have a AMD Athlon 64 3200+ computer, and when ever I need to restart my computer, it does it's thing but when it restarts the screen stays off and I have to manually turn it off and turn it back on any solutions? I changed out the monitor a year ago and still have the same problem.

Get another monitor, either a spare you have around the house or borrow from a friend etc., and try that. See if the problem persists. That will help narrow down where the problem lies.
If the problem does NOT perisist, then give us the make and model of your original monitor.

ive got the same problem with one of my pcs

I know it's not the monitor bcuz the orig. monitor I had on my computer works fine and after I bought a new one (wanted a bigger lcd screen) last year the problem is still there, could it be the video card?
the computer I built my dad is a 3000+ AMD Athlon, can I try to see if his video card can work on mine and see if thats the problem?
