Full Version: A Few Problems I'm Having

hi all
i've just installed a new motherboard and processor (athlon 64 3200+ / abit-ul8). the problems i'm having are:
1. my pioneer dvd 106 will only reconise cd's and won't allow me to open any dvd's.
2. i've installed 2 x 1gb memory sticks (on boot-up screen shows only 128mb) and pc is running real slow
3. graphics card is an ati radeon 7000 and it causes all sorts of problems when i load up the software.
4. onboard sound isn't working
otherwise everything else is spot on, for now
any help is greatly recieved and appriciated

1. Go to "My Computer" and right click on the DVD drive, and click on properties, and then click on troubleshoot.
You can also uninstall the drive, start the computer, shut it down, reinstall the drive and restart the computer and the computer should tell you that is has found new hardware and prompt you though its installation.

2. Check in you BIOS to be sure that the proper voltage and SPD are being recognized.

3. Make sure that the jumpers are in the porper location.
