Hello jaketrophotometry

This is a .dll file not an .exe. dll=Dynamic Link Library, a library of executable functions or data that can be called when needed by a larger program that is running in the computer. I'm not finding any info on it which usually means its not legit. Anytime you come across a suspicious file you can always do this:

Go to jotti.org
Browse to the location of the suspicious file and submit [upload] it for scanning/analysis.

or

Go to virustotal.com
Browse to the location of the suspicious file and submit [upload] it for scanning/analysis.

you're dead right. esennst.dll is not my friend. i guess i'm off to vundofix to see if it can be taken care of that way. if not, i'll be bringing coffee to the hijackthis logs. thanks for your help. you guys save lives.
