Howdy,

I just ran multiple seperate scans in safe mode. Norton, Ad-Aware, Spybot, Defender, and Ewido.

It took a loooooooooong time. Is it possible to run several at the same time??

The good news for me, only 1 tracking cookie popped up.

(Windows XP Home, SP 2, IE Browser)

with norton i know u can.

Go to START then Run type in navw32 /a after that u hit the enterkey

While in safe mode, I will be able to have all the programs scanning at the same time without them conflicting if I type in navw32 /a and hit enter ?? Wll that launch them all ??

I think scanning with all tools at once will actually take longer. If you can leave your pc running at nights, you should use a scheduler to schedule the scans and check the results in the morning.

The Navw32 /a is only for Norton antivirus.
I dont know how the other tools work in safe mode.
And as joe said, try to do 1 tool at the time.
Even i safe mode, stuff can conflict.

I have the free version of Ad-Aware, ewido and Spybot. I didn't think I had the option to use their schedule features, or do I ?

My advice:

DO NOT try to scan your computer with all of the anti-malware programs at once. It will probably casue some conflicts between the scanners and could even cause your computer to crash from all of the stress from the multiple scannings going on at once. Like joe said, if you leave your computer on at night, schedule the scans so they scan one after another, so that when you wake up all of the scans will have finished without causing severe problems/conflicts.
