hi i live in france and have xpon my computer i use outlook ex for e mails have avg on as virus check am getting emails but some times it takes a while to down load and when i open message all i get is a message email checked free of virus but there is no email. any ideas??

Try a test.
Turn OFF the E-mail scanner in the AVG Control Center.
Send yourself an E-mail with something attached (there are all sorts of free E-mail services so you can simply start another account for the purposes of this test).
The slow downloading of E-mails may be caused by AVG scanning them before they are placed in your POP E-mail in Outlook Express. I have not heard of AVG wiping out the message itself, though.

have tried that but it makes no diff it only happens very occasionally but its a pain as it could be an important e mail
