Hi all. I am wondering if there is anyone here who would be willing to contribute their graphic skills and help Bleeping Computer out by making some banners for this site that friends have offered to put on their sites.

I have attempted to make some, but I am severely lacking in artistic ability

If anyone out there would be willing to help we would be greatly appreciative.

Talk to the Grinler about a sneak preveiw. I just work on the design ;) He works on advertising them Grinler, did you get the 468x60 banner that I sent you?? Do you like it?

I am essentially looking for banners that I can put on other peoples sites for advertisement purposes. I have had offers from members here and from friends to put banners on their sites, so it is what you are expecting.

Ataryu is working on some stuff for us right now and if he wishes, he will post it for others to see. Basically looking for different banners of different sizes that I can put on a page here with link instructions so people can place them on their websites to support bleepingcomputer.

So i would imagine that your looking for something quite small, as most people don't want your banner being the focal point of their page.
Seeing you already have someone taking care of this for you i wont post anymore ideas, i don't like stepping on people's toes LOL.

How about a contest for banners, and the members vote on the ones that they like the most...I would not think that it would be stepping on anyones toes, and would show many people the skills that are here. It would also show the members that they have a little say in what the advertisment would look like.

I would love to make a page with various size banners that people can look at and if they want link to. Thats my goal. The larger banners are necsesary as well for some websites.

I think you mentioned something about the text being blurry or something, so I added a small outline around the text and kind of cleared it up. Not sure if it helped, just tell me if you want any changes ;)

You know what thats one of the best banners i have saw anybody make. For a newbie. I have never made a banner and dont even know how but i like the one thats in progress the best! I love it! LOL

I think they are great. Ataryu does a great job. I still think the text in the larger banner is a little fuzzy. Anyone else seeing that? Otherwise they are awesome.

I still want more banners though THe more the better as then people can pick and choose the ones they want and that fit their sites requirements better.

Really...I can't tell, lol. It looks fine to me, the text is legible on my screen. I guess I will take away the pixel effect and let you see it. I will get back to you on that one ;)

Here's another one.............

Now I really like that one, Chief. Easy to read and has some style in the lettering. I personally down't care for block text or anything sans-serif. I know it fits better when space is at a premium, but it's hard on the eyes of the over 40 crowd.

Just as an example, the logo banner at Gladiator forums is really nice. Don't know how Grinler feels about doing one of those right now, but that's the kind of lettering I like.

It looks fine on both my laptop and my pc. Except that the small side words are harder to read. Needs black around the edges to make them stand out. Cheif i liked your too.

Grinler~ I think the first banner of Ataryu's is not so much blurry... maybe just a bit too opaque. JMH .02. LoL

Maybe its just me, and my eyes suck, but I find it a bit hard to read the words. I mean its easy to read and understandable, but is not sharp or stands out..

There is a banner on one of your google ads that I love...when I can find it again Ill post a link to the site that has it.

I think the first banner of Ataryu is fine...no problem with that. Its the white text in the larger banner, with the small text on the right side, that I have some problems seeing.

I'm unsure which of the above is pointed at my entry, but i've resized the banner to 480x60.

The scrolling of the text is a little jerky, but note the file size, only 37KB!. So if you don't mind a bigger file size then i could make the text scroll smoother.

I have made another one. It's the same as above but with slighty bigger scrolling text, more frames of animation (for smoother scrolling) and a continious scroll.
The file size is still only 87KB
