I'm looking on newegg.com, i searched GeForce 6600GT and it came with many options. Now this is where i was confused. Certain cards that seem the same are either higher prices, or lower. Heres some.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...82E16814139171R - $95
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814139170 - $120
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...82E16814122001R - $116

Theres also many more. I'm looking for the highest performance with current tech. Since I'm looking to buy a GeForce 6600GT, I'm hoping someone could point me in the right direction on which card is the best buy out of all these cards listed. The one listed $116 also has 256MB instead of 128MB.

Would a 7800GT, which costs a tad more, be a better buy?

I would have a range around $200, really don't wanna spend more than 200.

Thanks.

Well, first, does your system accept PCI-E? Or AGP?

-Edit

Im gonna have to say that if it takes PCI-E, this one is the best choice

though if its AGP, keep looking.

PCI-E is generally better for performance, and its replacing AGP slots on MOBOs nowadays.

How can i check what my system will accept?
Rabbuk
check your motherboard manual or specs. It'll say something like expansion slots in there. Look and see if there are agp or pci-e slots to expand in. If you cant find that info post what motherboard you have and i or someone will help you out.

Asus P4S533 (6 PCI, 1 AGP, 3 DDR DIMM, Audio)

Thats what it says, i used Everest

Also if it helps, i have a NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4600 atm

Ok so you're going to have to go with AGP. You can get a normal PCI, but not PCI-E. Theres a huge difference. Keep looking and come back when you find a card you might want, we'll help you out and let you know if thats the best card for your money.
