repugnant
booker t
Jul 20 2007, 06:05 AM
I find it really repugnant in the summer time to go out to a four star restaurant and sit in the outdoor dining area and have the guy at the next table strike up a cigar just when you are starting to enjoy your dinner. This is b/c here the outdoor dining area is for smokers primarily, but that is in the process of being banned

.
i don't mind the smoking if people would only consider that you are tyring to eat your dinner which you went out to enjoy and pay big Buck$ for!!!

I believe the members of the UN have to get their act together and approve the rights of the indigenous peoples of this world, after all they were here in the very beginning and this paper process has been going on for some 11 years and for some political reason it is stalled, what are the countries scared of. These people were here first and deserve equality; after all it is the millenium and these talks must
continue in order to bring the document into force.
We should all be equal under law regardless of race, creed etc. especially the indigenous peoples. It is time to end this genocide and stop playing politics and casting these already down trodden peoples aside!!

Is there no social conscience????

Jul 27 2007, 08:42 AM
There are so many endangered species being totally ignored when big buck developers go into a terrain and start taking down trees and digging into the earth and prior consultation with the community that resides there is at a minimal and what is said by concerned citizens merely falls on the ears of deaf politicians who seem to have affiliations with these developers however that aspect is never made public.

It is a very serious situation when the governments at various levels find dealing with animals that are literally chased out of their habitats by developers and that the problem seems so insurmountable by the bureaucrats to the extent that the animals are destroyed and it is no fault of their own.

I liked life much better when you went into the supermarket in our small town and there were simply basic choices of edible products and the friendly owner's wife that rang up the bill, now with all these scanning cash registers that do the work and seem to come up with some ludicrous prices; I find doing grocery shopping to have become too
problematic.
I actually sitdown now before I leave the store and go through my bill. This past month there were $38 in errors that the manager qualified by saying that sometimes the scanner inadvertently records a number wrong!!! And so the price is incorrect! Really

Aug 8 2007, 08:37 PM
I think the
cruxof this game is to increase our vocabulary so that we can learn how to use as many long and sometimes useless words as possible in the hope of confounding the player who enters the game next causing great distress to said person by over taxing their brain and therefore causing them to smoke from their ears!!!

How's that grab for one long(pant, pant) sentence?
