My old boat, summer 06 (december for us down here)

Yourhighness
my latest one. Unfortunately not one of our own ships, but its an alliance partner and we have cargo on them. Its on the river Elbe, on the way to my Hometown Hamburg and its Container Terminal Altenwerder.

BlackSpyder
Here the new one for the desktop got it from Gnomelook.org Its a little feminine for me but its also really cool with the whole dark Wizard of Oz thing going on

BTW Yourhighness how many 40ft inter mobile containers will a ship that size hold. Seen a few IMC's with the Hapag-Lloyd Logo on them recently

Awooops. Looks like my notification is screwed. Didnt see any replies here whistling.gif

"Hamburg Express Class"

We speak of FEUs (Forty Foot Equivalent Units lmfao.gif ) - here s what the HL says:

TEU: 7506 (TEU = Twenty Foot Equivalent Unit), hence your answer would be 3753 (if my mental arithmetic is right tongue.gif )
Speed: 25 kn (46,25 km/h) (means they can go 1110 Km in a day)
Length: 320 m
Breadth: 42,88 m

Thats a good sized average these days for the Europe - Far East - Europe trades. Although, Maersk does have bigger ones. Currently most carriers are being delivered vessels with capacities of ~8500 TEUs.
BlackSpyder
Thank goodness we dont have a contract for IMC's yet. Keeping our fleet of 53 ft box vans fixed is enough for me adding dollies and IMC trailers to the list would mean I'd be stuck welding everyday.

We call them IMC's because it groups all the sizes together.

Got a new Desktop theme and wallpaper after removing tuneup. Settled for StyleXP v2 something (got it as a freebie with a comp mag thumbup.gif and isnt as bloated ,as the tuneup part of tuneup was not really working lately and the styler could ve been gotten by itself too, which I didnt know back then huh.gif ).

-edit- dang. BC is having hickups on me today .

Interesting
Yourhighness
The background image is a bit dark, but came with the tool. All in all I like it just as much as Tuneup Styler. Although TUStyler is easier to navigate / set things through. Bare in mind that I am using v2 something, whereas current one is like 3.16. But since its a freebee, I wont winge wink.gif .

If you are going to have a try of it, be aware that the exe files that are offered for download are containing SPYWARE.
However, if you cancel the download a few times and refresh you should be offered a zip version, containing no Spyware. (mhhm there was a quote somewhere, but i cant find it no more). I got it via a pc mag cdrom, which is safer than downloading it from a site you dont know / trust.

Wildabeast
I like that one rowal5555

I finally changed mine

rowal5555
I use the beautiful, everchanging photos from Webshots, so this is another SNAGIT test for sizing. (I really like this programme.)

Yourhighness
Is it worth signing up? You cannot download pics unless you signup sad.gif
rowal5555
Is it worth signing up for Webshots Desktop? IMHO, ABSOLUTELY.

The free version limits you to 5 downloads/day and you can't get the Premium photos, but there are still countless millions there. I mainly stick to the PRO SHOTS and you won't find better.

I took out a one year subscription which gives me unlimited photos, widescreen format, and never regretted it for a moment. You do need to download their programme. It is part of the CNET/ZNET network so is totally trustworthy.

Try it and enjoy. If I ever want to run a screensaver, which isn't often, I use this too.

Cheers YH.
