A special thanks goes to the computer industry for not allowing this to occur. Can you imagine that instead of a typing test, it would actually be a driving test? Measured in mph (Miles [of words] Per Hour) and you are deducted for running over obstacles, you would even have hazards such as not reading the right gage and not making adjustments, and "special" bonus points for using the big red button under the steering wheel (look at the pic closely) when another 'driver' cuts you off during the test.

They did get one thing right in the caption though. "Also the scientists readily admit that the computer will require not yet invented technology to actually work, but 50 years from now scientific progress is expected to solve these problems." Want to know one thing that we all use that is not in the picture? A mouse. Even though some will argue that it is not the best thing to come to computers, almost everyone will agree that they use it every time they use a computer.

I'm impressed with the creativity of the artist who thought of reinterpreting a submarine control room as a primitive PC. And to leave the steering wheel in the picture is just precious!
