Sweet! That means Ewido Free Edition should be coming out soon. Since Grisoft is a generally moderate-excellent anti-virus company, I expect Ewido to continue to deliver excellent service and quality!

I still mourn a little bit for TDS-3 which alongside ZoneAlarm Internet Security made my security suite. hmm. I have Trojan Remover as a backup anti-Trojan scanner. With the demise of TDS-3 I searched for a replacement for TDS-3. I came down to Trojan Hunter and Ewido. I tried both. I had conflict problems with Trojan Hunter. There was a work-a-round, but on faith I don't like work-a-rounds. I like the fact that Ewido doesn't conflict with Z A I S S, Spybot S&D, Prevx1, and the various anti-spyware and anti-Trojan programs, including a-squared free. I have setup AVG on clients' computers. I have recommended the free AVG and set it up on family and friend's computers. I have made it part of the freeware security suite I have assembled for poor folk. AVG Free and the free ZoneAlarm are the center, with the free Ewido or free a-squared, and the usual gang of four: Spybot S&D, SpywareBlaster, SpywareGuard, and TCPView v2.4. You gotta see the connections. Add to this core some anti-rootkits like RootkitRevealer and F-Secure Blacklight Beta and you have a good defence array. If you have an old computer you can find opensource NAT software and make yer own router type connection sharing device. Old laptops with Celeron are good for this. Grisoft is one of the companies that I respect for the quality of their product and for increasing the safety of the internet by producing a good free product. Grisoft now has the opportunity make a suite to compete with ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite and eTrust Internet Security Suite; these two dominate my brain because of their firewall and antivirus, they swapped technologies. Grisoft, if they added a good spamfilter, like Mailfrontier, which ZoneLab uses, would present a formidable suite. Grisoft call me I have the bomb of a suite in mind. Half of the folk that I have introduced free AVG to have moved to the paid version.

Let's just hope AVG will release a free version of anti-malware remover. This would significantly reduce the prices of other anti-malware companies to compete with the free.
