Hello all,
I was just educating myself on my startup list and came across this one: traycti. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it is? I tried Googling and checking a variety of startup lists. Thanks in advance.

Do you have a telephone dialer on your system? If so that entry might possibly be Tray Dialer 1.0 by Kemsoft.
(Tray Computer/Telephony Integration (CTI) = ?traycti?)
A simple telephone dialer that resides on the System Tray. It allows instant access to, and dials, up to 100 phone numbers that you use frequently directly from the System Tray icon. Tray Dialer also remembers the last number dialed.
But as Grinler asked, we need to see the complete file path.

[size=4] Hello,
I found the "traycti.exe" in my Startup list with the following path:
C:\ProgramFiles\Inte... HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVer...
I assume there's more to it than that. Do I need to check my registry to give you a more accurate picture? Thanks.

I do not know about having a "telephone dialer on my system". I use Dialup to connect. What else can I tell you to help with this. Thanks. I'm running XP Home w/SP2. I recently did a Full System Recovery do an infection I couldn't get rid of.

Hi,
I did a Search for traycti.exe, including hidden files and folders. Nothing came up. There is an icon in my System Tray for my dialup service, Christianityonline, when I'm connected to them. Otherwise, I'm most vigilant about my computer security, running A/V and A/Spyware scans daily. Nothing's been showing. I believe I'm clean. Any ideas? Thanks.

Disable the entry using msconfig. If it has no effect then you can reenable it and then remove it via autoruns.

Mystery solved!

Turns out traycti.exe is my browser accelerator through my ISP. After disabling it in MSCONFIG and restarting, my Firefox page wouldn't load. It gave me an Alert: The proxy server is refusing connections... IE loaded okay, so I knew it was confined to FF. When I reenabled it, my Spysweeper alerted me to a "new Startup program - Propel Accelerator". So, of course I allowed it, and now all is well. Thanks! Sure do appreciate all your help! Good day.
