Nothing happens when I put a web address in the IE Address bar. I ran a virus check and rebooted - these do not help. It does work if I type http:// before the address, but I'd rather fix the problem rather than typing that each time.

It appears to be a MS security update issue.
There are multiple posts in this forum concerning it.
See Papakid's post in this thread even if you don't own any HP equipment.
