Good Day all,

I ve been trying now for days to fix this problem, that my Trillian messenger doesnt connect to Yahoo and MSN - but does connect w/o problems with ICQ.

The Problem only occurs since I formatted and reinstalled everything. I had DSL problems for a while, but I seem to have fixed that (looks like my router had two IPs for two networkadapters, of which one dont exist). I have reseted the Router to manufacturers presets and reconfigured the ports to allow for my u-Torrent.

I have uninstalled and cleaned registry, reinstalled to no avail. If I install MSN Messenger I can use MSN w/o problems. Installing Y! messenger doesnt even let me sign on (keeps telling me wrong pw - which is not correct!). Now, since I got friends on all 3 networks, I dont feel like installing a seperate programme for each.

Anyone an idea?

Thanks in advance,

regards

Head over to Cerulean's support site and browse the FAQ's and Forums too.
There seems to be different solutions people have found for both MSN and Yahoo connection\password issues. Should get you straightened out. smile.gif

Hi There HitSquad!

Thanks for the reply. I had been to their site, but not been lucky.
Only just now, I managed to get Yahoo working again. I had to reset it to Port : 80.
However, I was not yet able to recover from the MSN problem. All I could find out is that since the new MSN supports HTTP, Trillian has not updated their Programme yet accordingly. Well they have a file called http.dll sitting in the plugin folder, which needs to be renamed (in my case to http-yhn.dll ) for it to be found as a plugin in Trillian.

Anyone an idea for the MSN problem?
