I started IE and it is not working. If I click on the drop down box, it freezes. If I type a URL into the box, it shows that the page is loading, but it never does. It does the same thing on both computers. What could it be?

Do you have a Firewall? If so, (which is recommended if you don't) you may want to have a look at the program permissions to see if IE is allowed access to the web.

The method of doing that is different for each firewall. We will need to know which firewall you are using to know how to instruct you futher. As well as to be able to research any other issues that may be causing conficts. The more information you can give us the better.

I am using the windows firewall. For viruses, I am using McAfee. I can still surf the web but only through using links or by using the google toolbar.
