My computer is going very slow. I changed things in MsConfig, did disk defrags, disk clean ups, deleated stuff off the hard drive. Today however, I noticed on the menu that pops up when I do Ctrl+Alt+Del It says on the bottom that the CPU usage is at 100%. Could this be causing the problem? And if so, what can I do to fix this? I have 2.8 Ghz or CPU on Intel Pentium 4 BTW.

Welcome to BC. How much RAM do you have? Are you running antispyware, antivirus and a firewall? What type of connection do you have, cable, DSL, dialup, ISDN, T1,...? Is it behind a router?

IF what you are referring to is System Idle Process being 99/100 percent, then that is not a process at all (despite the misleading name) but rather a percentage you are NOT using at the time.
Cheers,
John
