Hi! I hope this was the correct forum for this question. If not, I apologize.

My problem is that I'm following the Tutorial from BleepingComputer.com about using the Ad-Aware SE program for the first time, but so far, two of the screens that it shows I should come up for me have not. The first screen that I didn't get was Figure 1- Options after Finished installed. The second screen I didn't get was Figure 7- System scan preparation. Would someone be able to guide me on what to do about this? Thanks so much!

What version (build) do you have, or did you just download? The difference might be the pictured build 1.03 as opposed to the most current which is, I believe 1.06something, although Fig. 7 should be the same as pictured if you click on the "scan now" tab to get the "preparing system scan" panel.

John, to answer your question, I did just download the Ad-Aware SE program today from the link on this site. I'm still not getting the screen that I should be getting.

When you launch Ad-aware, it should open with "Ad-aware SE Status". If you click "Start" in the lower right corner, you should see the same screen ("Preparing System Scan") that is posted in Fig. 7.
