i'm building for gaming. and i have a hard time picking out what's what and what's compatable, etc....

my only specs that i am concerned about is speed for my dollar, pciE, maybe ddr2?

Now you say new mobo and cpu does this mean that you are keeping the old ram because if we got the gaming route you should a minimum of 1gig...

I got 512 and lag like hell in Ironforge in World of Warcraft.

And for CPU do you prefer AMD or Intel. I suggest AMD for gaming but it's more a personal preference.
